About esenda

Who is esenda?

esenda is the payments platform St Albans Education Group has chosen to handle fees. It’s built for schools and universities, so paying is quick and your payment is matched to your account automatically.

Where you’ll pay with esenda

School fees

Termly fees, invoiced by your school.

Trips and extras

Sent as a separate payment link from your school, different from the one on your fees invoice. It works the same way.

How it works

Three steps, start to finish.

1

You receive a payment request

When fees are due, the school emails you an invoice with what’s due and a secure link to pay. You can also pay any time from this page.

2

You choose how to pay

Pick whichever method suits you from the options below. Everything happens on a secure payment page.

3

You’re all done

esenda emails you a receipt, and your payment is matched to your account automatically. Nothing else to do.

Ways to pay

Pay the way that suits you.

Debit or credit card

Quick, and confirmed on the spot.

Apple Pay and Google Pay

Pay from your phone in a couple of taps.

Instant bank payment

Approve the payment in your banking app, with the details filled in for you.

Bank transfer

Use the details on your payment page, with the reference shown, so your payment is matched.

Paying from overseas

You’ll see the options for your country. An international bank transfer is often the lower-cost choice.

Peace of mind

What to expect, and why.

Who emails you, and when

Invoices come from your school. Once you’ve paid, your receipt comes from esenda. If you’re ever unsure about a message, use the Make a payment button on this page instead.

Paying by bank transfer

You’ll pay into esenda’s account, and esenda passes the money straight on to the school. That’s why esenda appears as the payee, and it’s how your payment is matched to your account automatically.

If your bank asks a question

Banks sometimes double-check payments to a business that’s new to them. Just let them know it’s a recurring payment to a registered business for school fees, and ask for a Confirmation of Payee check. Card or instant bank payment are also there if you’d prefer.

Your details stay protected

Payments are processed securely, and your card details are never shared with the school.

Common questions

Can I pay in pounds from overseas?

Yes, from a UK bank account or with a UK-issued card. Otherwise, choose from the methods shown for your country.

Why was my card declined?

Cards need to be issued in the country you select on the payment page. If that’s not the issue, try another method or visit the parent help centre.

Something doesn’t look right with my payment

The parent help centre covers most questions. If you still need help, email [email protected] with your payment reference and a screenshot, with any card or account numbers hidden.

I have a question about my bill

The school’s finance office can help with anything about what’s been charged.
