Paying school fees and extras has just become even easier.
We're excited to announce that Apple Pay and Google Pay are now available for all schools using card payments through esenda.
Parents can now pay securely using the payment methods they already use every day, without needing to manually enter their card details. Whether they're paying school fees, deposits, trips, uniforms or other extras, the checkout experience is now faster, simpler and more convenient.
Today's parents expect to be able to pay online as easily as they shop elsewhere. Entering long card numbers, expiry dates and security codes can create unnecessary friction, particularly on mobile devices.
Apple Pay and Google Pay remove those barriers by allowing parents to complete their payment in just a few taps using the payment methods already stored on their device.
The result is a smoother payment experience that benefits both parents and schools.
The easier it is to pay, the more likely a payment is to be completed there and then.
When parents are asked to find their wallet, enter card details or switch devices, there's a greater chance they'll postpone the payment and intend to come back later. Often, life gets in the way.
By reducing the number of steps required, Apple Pay and Google Pay help remove that hesitation, making it easier for parents to complete payments immediately.
For schools, that can mean:

More parents than ever manage school life from their phones.
Whether they're opening a payment link from an email, paying through the esenda portal or settling an invoice while they're on the move, Apple Pay and Google Pay provide a checkout experience that's designed for mobile.
Authentication is handled using the parent's device security, such as Face ID, Touch ID or fingerprint recognition, keeping payments both fast and secure.
There's nothing extra to configure.
If your school already accepts card payments through esenda, Apple Pay and Google Pay are now available automatically wherever eligible parents and devices support them. Any card limits already set, will automatically apply to apple and google pay, along with any restrictions around premium cards too.
Parents will simply see Apple Pay or Google Pay as payment options during checkout, when they're available.
Parents already use digital wallets to pay for groceries, travel, online shopping and household bills. School payments shouldn't feel any different.
Adding Apple Pay and Google Pay is another step towards making school payments quicker, more convenient and more familiar for parents, while helping schools receive payments sooner with less friction.
