Q1 is off to a flying start at esenda.
In the first three months of 2026, schools processed £478m through the platform; a 54% increase on Q1 last year, representing growth of more than £166m. It’s a strong signal of continued momentum, and of the increasing role payments play in helping schools operate more efficiently and grow income.
And we’re not just seeing growth in volume, we’re seeing deeper adoption within schools too.
Three schools have now surpassed £100m processed through esenda, a significant milestone that reflects long-term trust in the platform. Several others are already on track to reach this level in Q2, highlighting how embedded esenda is becoming in day-to-day school finance operations.
As usage grows, so does our focus on making the experience as simple and reliable as possible.
Support tickets were down by 38% compared to the same period last year; a direct result of ongoing improvements to usability, performance and product design. The goal remains the same: helping finance teams save time, reduce friction, and operate with confidence.
Q1 also saw three new partnerships go live, all of which are now actively transacting.
These partnerships are an important part of our wider vision, connecting school systems and payments to create better visibility and more seamless experiences for both schools and parents.

It’s been a busy quarter for the product team, with 16 new features delivered across 10 releases.
These updates are shaped by feedback from our schools and designed to give finance teams more flexibility, control and insight. From day-to-day efficiencies to broader payment capabilities, each release builds towards a more complete payments ecosystem.
